Cut up synthetic hair (authentically fake)
Wig caps and clips (former disguises)
Strands of every shade I tried to be.
Fragments of hiding (beautifully destroyed)
And all the versions of myself I thought I needed hair to be.
 
Each piece captures the moment I shaved my head and discovered I'm still completely, powerfully me-just without the hair. Because we are not defined by our physical attributes.
