Three Sweet Celebrations This Month!

This October, I'm thrilled to invite you to three exhibitions exploring transformation, liberation, and the radical act of taking up space.


SELF/NOT SELFIE | GOLDEN WEST COLLEGE


My "selfies with friends" project will be installed in Tony Pinto's "Self/not Selfie" show at Golden West College. While these images might look like selfies at first glance, they're actually self-portrait work exploring something much deeper - about taking up space, being present in community, and learning to truly see myself through the act of creating these images together.

KRISTINE'S SWEET SHOPPE OF LIBERATION


Step into the most unusual candy store you've ever encountered! Behind the vintage charm lies 52 years of carefully curated chaos—shredded, sorted, and packaged for your revolutionary pleasure.


The shelves are stocked with "liberation blends" in collectable acrylic vitrines: love letters, report cards, diary pages, shredded CD inserts, painted Yogurtland spoons, and stored items that no longer serve their original purpose. Each cube is a tiny time capsule where memory, identity, and letting go become sweet confessions.


Where Fluxus meets confectionery. Where controlled destruction becomes precious art. Where your purchase makes you a collaborator in radical liberation.

During the Brewery Artwalk, visit Shoebox to see our third helping of sweet indulgence! This group exhibition transforms the gallery into an immersive confectionery dream with salon-style hanging covering every wall floor to ceiling. From hyperrealistic paintings of dripping chocolate to abstract interpretations of candy colors, this show celebrates the visual feast of food while creating space for conversations about comfort, healing, and joy.
