Hi friends,
Something beautiful happened this week. I've been working on breaking through my imaginary wall—that invisible barrier built from eating disorder struggles, anxiety, and the fear of taking up space—and this Saturday, you can see what breakthrough looks like.
"My Imaginary Wall" is now covering the windows of Garel Fine Art Gallery in Manhattan Beach, and I want you there when we celebrate together.
The Other Side - Group Exhibition
Saturday, August 2nd, 3-7pm
Garel Fine Art Gallery, Manhattan Beach
I'll be there at 5pm

This installation is thousands of colorful dots—each one representing a fragment of hope, a moment of possibility, a tiny crack in what holds us back. But here's what made it special: other women helped me apply them. We sat outside in the shade with the ocean breeze, chatting about life, laughing, getting goosebumps from the support flowing between us.
A stranger walking by saw us and asked, "Is that a girl power store?" We told her about the show and she's coming Saturday. Someone driving by gave us a thumbs up. This is exactly what my work is about—community, collaboration, joy, and those unexpected moments when art brings people together.
The exhibition explores recovery from eating disorders and body dysmorphia, not just for survivors but for everyone in their orbit. It's about making space for bodies and experiences that are too often marginalized. It's about the strength found in recovery and the quiet (or sometimes bold) defiance of society's rigid beauty standards.
Each dot represents the daily work of healing—sometimes two steps forward, one step back. When we work together to break down barriers, breakthrough becomes inevitable.
Come break through with me Saturday. Let's make some space together.
With love and excitement,
Kristine
P.S. The show runs through August 30th if you can't make the opening. But I'd love to see you there in person—nothing beats celebrating art and community together.
